Listen to the Mountain - Markleeville, CA

Painted 4 months after the big Tamarack fire which burned right up to the town of Markleeville.  While we were painting a Forest Ranger pulled in and told us that the area was closed.  We had to quickly finish our paintings and pack up. You can see the burn scars on the trees in the foreground.
