The Swimmer

Growing up as a swimmer draws me to this subject.  I am enamored by the patterns the light on the water and on the sandy bottom as we look into the depths.  The water in Lake Tahoe is so clear you can see a swimmer's figure deep into the water.  The edges of the lake in some areas are sand bottom and make the water color a beautiful turquoise.  It looks like the Caribbean but the water in this area is about 60 degrees in the summer.  This coldness is what helps keep the lake so clear.
